The Roundhouse has a long history of working with the University of Liverpool in print and design and produced a series of static adverts that were used as posters and billboard advertising to promote the University’s open days.
Along with a commission to produce a film of the event, Roundhouse Pictures also produced this series of animated adverts using those original concepts that were displayed on big screens around a number of cities in the UK.
This was a brand new method of advertising for the University to undertake and the result created this engaging and original output that grabbed the attention of thousands of potential students.
The context of each advert was to highlight the University’s proud history of artistic innovation, technological advancement and scientific discovery. Each advert was treated individually where animation was concerned to ensure that it was obvious enough to be eye-catching yet not so overt that it detracted from the overall message.
